We
have upgraded our beloved link-shortening service, Simple Link Go, to
transform it into a comprehensive data and file-sharing platform. The
new version of Simple Link Go now supports not only links but also all
text-based data and files, making it an indispensable tool for secure
and efficient sharing.
π‘οΈ Enhanced Security with Access Control Features
One
of the standout features of this update is our upgraded access
control system, designed to ensure that sensitive information remains
protected. The full feature set of our access control system now
includes all these functions:
- Password Protection: Secure links with a password to prevent unauthorized access.
- Time Frame Restrictions: Set specific time windows during which the link will be active.
- Access Rules Based on Client Attributes: Restrict access based on client attributes such as IP address, device type, and more.
- (New) View Limitation: Limit the number of times a link can be accessed.
- (New) Self-Destruction: Configure links to automatically delete after they have been used or a set period has elapsed.
π New Text-Based Data Sharing Functionality
In
addition to its traditional link-shortening capabilities, Simple Link
now supports the sharing of all text-based data. This feature is
particularly useful for securely transmitting sensitive information that
needs to be shared quickly and reliably. Some practical examples
include:
- Passwords: Share login credentials with colleagues or family members without the risk of them being intercepted.
- API Keys: Safely provide API keys to developers or partners working on a project.
- Personal Information: Exchange personal details like addresses or phone numbers securely.

Release of Simple Poll v.2025.01.4
Continuing last months development cycle for Simple Poll, we have finalized the next version: Today we are
releasing version 2025.01.4 for Simple Poll.
This version includes the new "maybe" voting option for date scheduling polls, the new Simple Poll editor,
as well as the new admin actions, which allow you to quickly access various management actions for your Simple Poll.

v.2025.01.4 Changes π
- Simple Polls of type "date" have received a third voting option. In addition to "yes" and "no",
voters can now vote with "maybe". "Maybe" votes are weighted as half a vote.
- New admin actions. We have added a new admin action panel to Simple Poll, which allows admins to quickly access management actions for their poll. These admin actions include:
- Opening the editor. The editor allows you to edit all aspects of a Simple Poll, including all its possible answers. (Some aspects may only be edited as long as no votes have been cast)
- Scheduling the poll for deletion. (Deletion occurs within the next 24 hours after scheduling the deletion. Scheduled deletions can be canceled.)
- Copying the polls URL
- Other (smaller) changes to improve Simple Poll

Today we proudly present our new #SimpleTeam app: A kiosk app that turns almost any device into a Simple Team kiosk and offers a simple and quick way for your team members to clock in and out of work.
We took Simple Team and simplified it to its core functionality: Clocking in and out of work. π
And you can forget about using clunky emails and complex passwords. The app uses a simple 6-digit PIN to authorize team members. (We may be working on making authorization even simpler)
Being a web app, the Simple Team app can be installed on almost any device. Whether itβs a tablet at the front desk or a smartphone in the break room, our kiosk app adapts to any device π± π₯οΈ.
The minimum requirements are literally: Can display website.
The management of kiosks is as simple as their design: All kiosks are managed through the Simple Team web interface. After the initial setup, all admin related actions can be done remotely. No need to physically interact with the devices spread across your company.
